Why UK to MENA Works

One Wholesale Source Across a Fragmented Region.

The Middle East and North Africa is not one market. It is a corridor of fourteen national regulators, three working languages, four currency regimes, two trade blocs (GCC and Maghreb), and a humanitarian operating layer that overlays the commercial one.

Euro Biom can be one MHRA-licensed UK wholesaler across those markets. The product, the chain of custody and the GDP records are constant. What changes is the regulator the buyer must satisfy, such as SFDA, DHA, EDE, MOPH, MoH Kuwait, NHRA, JFDA, MoPH Lebanon, Kimadia, TITCK, EDA, AMMPS, ANPP or NMPB; we supply UK export documents to support the buyer's application.

For procurement teams running cross-MENA programmes, that means one supplier qualification and one set of WDA records.

Regulators in Our MENA Library

Supporting export documents can be notarised, apostilled or consular-attested where required; the buyer or its agent arranges this.

Fourteen MENA Markets, Grouped by Sub-Region.

Each sub-region has its own procurement reality. The GCC core moves on regulator-led tenders and licensed importers. The Levant blends private hospital procurement with humanitarian flows. North Africa runs on French-language dossiers and centralised public procurement.

What Cross-MENA Procurement Hits
Six Frictions That Trip Up Multi-Country Supply.

A case that runs smoothly in Riyadh may stall in Algiers. These are six points where multi-country procurement can stall.

Fourteen regulators, fourteen dossier shapes

SFDA, DHA, EDE, MOPH, MoH Kuwait, NHRA, JFDA, MoPH Lebanon, Kimadia, TITCK, EDA, AMMPS, ANPP, NMPB. Each has its own preferred document order, attestation route and language. Supporting documents can be notarised in London where required.

Documents in English

UK documents are issued in English. Where a regulator needs French, Arabic or Turkish, certified translation can be arranged through a translation provider.

Cold chain through 50 degree summers

Gulf and North African tarmac can reach 45 to 50 degrees in summer. 2-8°C medicines are shipped from our contract storage site in temperature-controlled packaging with a data logger, arranged with specialist carriers.

Speed gap between markets

Buyers need the same response whichever market they are in. We respond the same working day across all 14 markets.

Currency and payment conditions

Payment terms are discussed case by case before shipment and are subject to UK sanctions rules and banking checks.

Humanitarian and NGO overlays

Sudan, parts of Iraq and Lebanon-based programmes operate through NGO and UN-agency channels rather than standard hospital procurement. Donor traceability and NGO supply records, all on top of the MHRA WDA baseline.

What We Supply Across MENA
Four Service Lines, Tuned for the Region.

The product we ship is the same MHRA-licensed UK pharmaceutical that any qualified buyer would expect. What changes country to country is the service shape around it.

  • EDA, AMMPS, ANPP, TITCK and Lebanese MoPH overlays

MENA Frequently Asked Questions
What Procurement Teams Across the Region Ask Us.
What is the difference between GCC supply and MENA supply?
GCC supply is a subset of MENA supply. The Gulf Cooperation Council covers six high-income markets (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman) where regulators are well-resourced and procurement concentrates through national health systems and licensed importers. MENA, the wider Middle East and North Africa, adds the Levant (Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq), Turkey and the North African corridor (Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan). MENA supply means engaging with a far wider range of regulators, languages, currency conditions and humanitarian structures, on top of the Gulf core. If your sourcing programme is GCC-only, our GCC pillar page is the right entry point. If it is multi-country across the wider region, this page is.
Which MENA countries does Euro Biom serve?
Euro Biom covers 14 MENA markets. The GCC core (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), the Levant (Lebanon under MoPH, Jordan under JFDA, Federal Iraq plus the Kurdistan Region under Kimadia and KRG-MoH), Turkey under TITCK, and four North African markets (Egypt under EDA, Morocco under AMMPS, Algeria under ANPP, and Sudan under NMPB and through humanitarian channels). Each market has its own dedicated supply page reachable from the country grid above.
How does Brexit affect UK to MENA pharmaceutical supply?
UK MHRA documents, the Wholesale Dealer Authorisation (WDA) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) records still support supplier qualification across the region. The MHRA continues to issue Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product in WHO format.
Can Euro Biom support tender bidding in MENA markets?
Yes. Euro Biom can provide pricing, supplier information and UK export documents for buyers preparing institutional tenders across MENA. That includes NUPCO in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Central Agency for Public Tenders, MOPH Qatar frameworks, MOH Bahrain, MOH Oman, Kimadia in Iraq, Joint Procurement Department tenders in Jordan, Egyptian UPA tenders, and Algerian PCH and CHU programmes. Buyers use their own licensed local agents where the market requires one.
What about humanitarian and NGO pharmaceutical supply in MENA?
Conflict-affected and humanitarian-priority markets need a different approach, and any supply is subject to sanctions and export-control checks. In Sudan, supply usually runs through NGO and UN-agency procurement channels, and we can supply UK-side documents to those buyers. In Lebanon, banking and currency conditions can make standard commercial terms difficult, so payment terms are agreed before shipment.
What languages of documentation does Euro Biom provide for MENA imports?
Core MHRA-issued documents are in English. Certified Arabic, French or Turkish translation can be arranged through a certified translation provider where a hospital, tender or ministry requires it.
Is Euro Biom a wholesaler or a broker?
Euro Biom is an MHRA-licensed wholesale dealer (WDA(H) 59239), not a broker. MENA consignments are supplied from a UK GDP-compliant contract storage site by Euro Biom under its WDA(H) 59239 wholesale dealer authorisation, with documented chain of custody from licensed UK source to MENA importer or NGO partner. Buyers should check that a supplier holds a verifiable wholesale dealer authorisation and can show a documented chain of custody.
